About Us

The Wisconsin Honor Guard Association (WHGA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring, preserving, and supporting the proud traditions of ceremonial honor guard service throughout the State of Wisconsin.

Our association exists to recognize the men and women who selflessly serve their communities by rendering honors at military funerals, memorials, civic events, and other solemn ceremonies. These duties are performed with dignity, precision, and deep respect—often in difficult conditions—and reflect a long-standing commitment to service, patriotism, and brotherhood.

Our Mission

The mission of the Wisconsin Honor Guard Association is to:

Promote excellence and professionalism in honor guard ceremonies
Preserve and uphold time-honored military and ceremonial traditions
Support honor guard members through education, training, and recognition
Foster unity and cooperation among honor guard units across Wisconsin

Who We Serve

WHGA supports honor guard members from a wide range of organizations, including veterans’ groups, military units, law enforcement, fire departments, and other ceremonial teams who are called upon to represent our state and nation with honor.

We also serve the families and communities of Wisconsin by ensuring that those who have served are remembered and honored with the respect they deserve.
